April 8 2024- It's Solar Eclipse Day!
Whether you're into astrology and all the “vibrations” the astrological events are said to produce, or not, we have to give the "North America" solar eclipse its props...occurring on a Monday, in its new moon phase.
A total solar eclipse is said to "symbolize a time of darkness and spiritual renewal, offering an opportunity for introspection and the shedding of old energies." And I so no reason not to embrace that. Especially “the shedding of old energies”.
Now granted, those of us in the Inland Northwest we won't experience the Total Solar Eclipse, but it's still an astrological event to take note of.
Following the 2024 total solar eclipse, skywatchers in the U.S. will next get the opportunity to see a total solar eclipse on March 30, 2033. The totality of this eclipse, which will last 2 minutes 37 seconds, will be visible in Alaska. Following this, on Aug. 23, 2044, a total solar eclipse will be visible from the U.S. states of Montana, South Dakota, and North Dakota, as well as from much of Canada.
Under a year later, on Aug.12, 2045, another total solar eclipse will sweep over the U.S., visible from California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida, as well as from the Caribbean, and South America.

April Free Credit Report
When was the last time you looked at the details of your credit report? It’s not just for knowing your credit score. Nowadays you can do that pretty quickly through almost any bank or credit card. But what information is being used to create that score? Are there accounts being opened in your name you don’t know about? Old accounts that should have been closed?
There are a lot of scammers out there though so be careful. NerdWallet.com recommends Using the government-mandated AnnualCreditReport.com website is the quickest way to a copy of your report.
Federal law allows you to get a free copy of your credit report every 12 months from each credit reporting agency. My own recommendation is to pull the first one in April. I start with Expedia. (June = Equifax, Oct = TransUnion). January through March is my regroup from the holidays and a chance to implement by plans made prior so that’s why I recommend pulling the reports staring in April.
Save and review your report for accuracy.

Do your wrists hurt?? Mine do!
I’m pretty good about stretching my legs, but I neglect my poor fingers and wrists. I follow Sara Beth Yoga on YouTube; although not as frequently as my body would appreciate. There are multiple yogies on YouTube so I do recommend doing some searches.
This video only takes 5 minutes! Look at that you now have an extra 10 to do something else for yourself.

For the remainder of the week I decided we’d focus on the Living room
Set that timer for 15 minutes and just focus on tidying up. Remotes are my nemesis…oh and my mouse from when I take my laptop to the living room to work.
Are you still looking at those magazines, pamplets etc. or is it time for them to find their way to the recycle bin?
If you have time from the general tidy up- do a quick “sweep” of your DVD collection. Anything to get rid of?
I have a tendency to stuff things behind doors and in drawers “for now” and 6 months later do the “oh yeah”.

Grab your Swiffer or your vac. Maybe make some room.
It is time to vacuum, sweep or whatever not only under, but behind your furniture as well. I know you may not be able to move everything. Our TV center is not budging so my vacuum crevice tool gets a workout. Fortunately our loveseat and sofa are fairly easy to move. Between our cats and dog, the hair that accumulates under the furniture is crazy. And of course all the toys!

It’s now dusting time
Here’s the two day living room project. I don’t love dusting, but it’s a task that I know makes my dust allergies a lot happier after the fact. My skin during the process is not happy though!
Start at the top…
Your light fixture(s), maybe a ceiling fan. (If you do have a ceiling fan you can reach, I do prefer the pillow case dusting method
For the large area dusting, I use my Swiffer sweeper to “mop” my ceiling and walls. It makes pretty quick work of it as long as you don’t have heavily textured surfaces. If that’s the case a vacuum with the dusting brush may be your best tool. If you have other suggestions let me know so I can pass along.
Once ceilings and walls are done, tackle those other surfaces. Don’t forget to give your candles, Knick-Knacks a wipe. (This process is 100% way my collections quickly downsized).
Top edges of window and door casings could probably use a wipe, along with picture frames. This is why two days is allotted. Sometimes we don’t have the umph to finish is all and sometimes we do.
